Terms of Service

1) Agreement to Terms

By downloading or using the Gradee mobile application (the “App”), you agree to these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2) Who may use the App

You must have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms. If you are under 13, you may use the App only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

3) License and acceptable use

We grant you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to install and use the App for your personal, non‑commercial use, subject to these Terms. You agree not to (i) copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App; (ii) reverse engineer or attempt to extract the App’s source code except where permitted by law; or (iii) use the App in a manner that violates applicable law.

4) Your data

Your grades and notes are stored locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups (e.g., via OS‑level backups) and for the accuracy of any information you enter. We are not responsible for loss of data due to device failure, deletion, or uninstallation.

5) Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. By using the App, you agree that we may collect and use limited analytics as described there.

6) Subscriptions and purchases (future features)

The App is currently free. We may introduce optional paid features or subscriptions in the future. Pricing, billing period, trial terms, renewal, and cancellation policies will be shown in‑app before you purchase. If you subscribe via the Apple App Store or Google Play, billing and refunds are handled by those stores according to their policies, and you can cancel in your store account settings.

7) Changes to the App

We may update or discontinue features at any time. We will try to avoid changes that materially reduce core functionality without notice, but some updates may be required to keep using the App.

8) Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non‑infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error‑free or uninterrupted.

9) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gradee and its developers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenues, arising from or related to your use of the App.

10) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gradee and its developers from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the App.

11) Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING_JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict of law principles. Courts located in [GOVERNING_JURISDICTION] will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App.

12) Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change is material, we will provide notice in the App. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
